Established in 1985 Dawn Farms employs over 800 people across its three production plants in Ireland and in the UK. Dawn Farms is the preferred cooked ingredient and protein partner to many of the world’s leading grocery and High Street brands in over 40 countries worldwide.
Garry joined the company in 2003 and was appointed into a new role as Head of Continuous Improvement in 2011 having previously been Head of Finance. Garry and his team are responsible for implementing the Continuous Improvement Programme using Lean principals across all Dawn Farms Facilities.
Garry has recently completed a MSc in Lean Operations at Cardiff University.
Garry will take us through Dawn Farms Lean journey over the last four years initially using external consultants and the progression to a self-sustained Continuous Improvement Department where lean training is carried out internally. Data has been a key element in creating a new improved culture and the slogan “If you can measure it, you can manage it” is highly visible across their plants.
